GA Electrical used their super powers to take third place at the Wallingford pancake race. The 2011 super hero themed race really turned up the heat this year with over 300 participants raising money for Care for Casualties and other local charities.
Carl Vink, managing director of GA Electrical said; “It’s the first time that we have taken part in this event, but we’ll definitely be back next year – what a great opportunity to support local charities and have fun all at the same time!”
GA Electrical employees are no stranger to energetic activities, sky diving and abseiling their way to raising nearly £7,000 for local charities. This year they take on their most physically demanding challenge yet; cycling a gruelling 60 miles to raise money for the community led charity CHOKO and Against Breast Cancer.
Glenn Dearlove small contracts manager said; “Supporting the local community is very important to us, as is raising money for charity – taking the opportunity to do both is a no-brainer!”
The sponsored bike ride is due to take place on 8 May 2011 starting at Harwell Science & Innovation Campus, if you would like to sponsor the team from GA Electrical please follow this link.
