To meet the requirements of a high profile client on this ongoing project we were asked to provide a solution should there be any power outages on their secluded country estate.

Our design team were on hand to help and came up with a suitable scheme which will back up the 315amp 3phase supply in the event of any power failure.

A British made 250KVA 3phase (400V) diesel powered generator was proposed, along with an automatic transfer panel (ATS) which will automatically changeover to the generator back-up supply in the event of any power outage. This particular generator has the capacity to power a general hospital or the equivalent of 12 family sized houses.

An extra fuel storage tank was also installed which will enable the generator to run continuously for 4 or 5 days giving peace of mind, particularly if in the midst of a harsh winter, of an uninterrupted power supply. When the fuel level gets low or there’s anything untoward detected that would give cause for concern, a text message alert is sent.

The images show the generator being craned into place without a hitch. The client was delighted with the product and the service we provided from design to completion.
