Normandy House is a magnificent ‘Arts & Crafts’ style detached residence located in a prime tree-lined residential avenue in Amersham. This seven bedroom house was in need of much refurbishment and GA were contracted to undertake extensive mechanical and electrical works.
The electrical works comprised of stripping out the existing electrical services and replacement of the incoming UKPN supply. A new internal electrical distribution system including lightning surge protection was provided along with lighting and small power installations.
Our team also installed fire alarm and detection/intruder alarm systems and modified the main gate entry system. Additional work was undertaken on telephone and data wiring plus TV reception installation. Lastly, our electricians carried out final testing, commissioning and setting to work of the complete installation and instructed the owners on the operation of all the systems.
New gas, hot and cold water distribution and MVHR systems were installed. Additional mechanical works consisted of installation of a new boiler, radiators and towel rails, an air/dirt separator and an acid neutraliser.
Above ground soil and waste facilities were put in place and new sanitary ware fixed including wash hand basins, bath, shower, WC and cistern… and yes, even the kitchen sink!
