OUR JOURNEY
1992
Where it all began – After a successful career working for British Telecom, Graham Anthony Woollard founded ‘GA Electrical Contractors Ltd’, building the business with his son Anthony and wife Heather.
1998
Graham’s nephew, Carl Vink joins his uncle’s successful family business.
2000
The business outgrows its existing premises, and moves to their first official office, a converted barn and workshop facility.
2001
Carl purchased a share of the business and becomes Operations Director.
2008
Following increased demand for electrical services, the team set up GA Electrical, as a dedicated contracting department within the business.
2010
Graham and his wife retire, selling the business to Carl, who becomes Managing Director and begins reforming the organisation to meet the latest industry demands.
2011
The business goes from strength to strength with the appointment of Adam Brumby and Paul Clarke Appointed as new Company Directors.
2014
The GA mechanical department was established, joined forces with the sparkies, and GA Electrical & Mechanical was formed.
2016
Two years later, GA Electrical & Mechanical had grown again, and bigger, better premises were required. The team found their ideal base by the Thames, in Wallingford, Oxfordshire.
2018
Skill-sets grew to keep pace with customer demands. Soon the Fire & Security department was set up by Director Rob Bruce, and Group GA was officially formed.
2019
Keeping a good thing going, meant it was only natural that Maintenance would soon demand its own department.
2020
Requests for green energy solutions for homes and businesses became so regular, we set up the Renewable Energy Department.
2023
Group GA now delivers more multidisciplinary services across more projects than ever before, from concept to final delivery, as part of their new 4-year growth plan to offer improved inhouse support to a more diverse client base.
