Our electrical apprenticeship is delivered by training provider JTL, based in Culham. This is a four year apprenticeship with a mix of college time and on site training with Group GA. You will be working towards an Installation Electrician and Maintenance Electrician Level Three qualification.
To apply for an electrical apprenticeship with Group GA, you will need to register on the JTL website using this link here. Once registered you will need to sit your entrance exams on their website and visit the opticians for a colour blind test.

We believe in offering work based training places to local school students by giving talented and ambitious young people, from all backgrounds, the chance to realise their full potential as an apprentice at Group GA. It’s exactly how our Managing Director, Carl Vink, and all our Directors and Senior managers first started out, so we certainly like to nurture our own ‘home grown’ talent.
Our applications for apprenticeship schemes are open all year round with recruitment taking place once a year in June. All applicants will require 4 GCSEs 9-4 including Maths & English to apply for our apprenticeship scheme.

Full Time Electrical Test Engineer
Location: Wallingford, Oxfordshire, with project work along the M40 to M4 corridor into London.
Group GA is seeking a dedicated Test Engineer to join our team. If you’re committed to electrical excellence, have a keen eye for detail and compliance, are meticulous with paperwork then we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and Electrical Installation Certificates on project work.
- Collaborate closely with our qualifying supervisor.
- Train and mentor younger engineers on testing procedures.
- Utilize modern software for testing and documentation.
